Three scientists learning to use a pipette at a microscopeOur graduate students play a pivotal role in the continued success of the Institute, and gaining a Cambridge Research Institute (CRI) PhD studentship is an excellent opportunity to start a research career in an environment committed to training outstanding cancer research scientists of the future.

Our applicants are highly motivated and talented students who are recent graduates or final year undergraduates who hold or expect to gain a first/upper second class honours degree or equivalent from any recognised university worldwide. Successful applicants to the programme will obtain their degrees from the University of Cambridge.

Note: Prof. Sir Bruce Ponder is no longer accepting PhD students.

Applications for a 2012 PhD studentship have closed. Shortlisted applicants should receive an invitation to interview by end-February 2012. If you have not heard from us by this time, please assume that you were unsuccessful in your application.

One-off CRI PhD studentships are occasionally advertised outside the main programme. This sometimes includes non-Institute funded studentships in a CRI group.
