About the postdoctoral fellowship programme

The postdoctoral development programme is designed to provide CRI postdocs with a portfolio of skills that give them the opportunity to shape a successful career in science. The programme places equal weight on three development areas: research skills, transferable skills and academic skills and resources. The portfolio of resources provided - research experience, practical workshops, seminars, mentoring and careers advice - assists in the development of skills in each of these three areas. The programme booklet provides details on what is available.

Cambridge provides an exciting and collaborative environment in which to do research. The CRI’s location on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus is ideally suited to nurture research collaborations and provides an intellectual and practical environment in which cancer research can thrive. Coupled with the beauty, history and vibrant atmosphere of Cambridge itself, the CRI is an ideal location to achieve scientific excellence.

Our Group Leaders welcome applications from exceptional postdoctoral talent who are interested in shaping their career in a prestigious Institute committed to developing research scientists. In particular, we welcome speculative applications from applicants intending to apply for their own independent fellowship who would like to join a research group at the CRI.

Positions are offered for two to five years and starting salaries for Fellows are in the range £29,650 - £34,189 per annum inclusive, depending on experience.

Vacancies are advertised on the CRI's jobs pages, and in external publications.
