Graduate Studentships at the CRI

Young CRI bioinformatics researcherOur graduate students play a pivotal role in the success of the Institute. A Cambridge Research Institute (CRI) studentship is an excellent opportunity to start a research career in an environment that is committed to training outstanding cancer research scientists.

The annual CRI Graduate Studentship programme is open to recent graduates or final year undergraduates who hold or expect to gain a first/upper second class honours degree or equivalent. No nationality restrictions apply. Applications are usually invited in October and project details of each studentship are published on this website.

Successful candidates undertake a research training programme under the guidance of named supervisors - see below for a list of available projects for 2010.

Successful applicants of the CRI Graduate Studentship programme receive an annual stipend - the stipend for 2010 graduate students is £16,570 for the first year and with annual increases thereafter.

Applications for the main 2010 CRI Graduate Studentship programme has closed. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted in early 2010 for interviews - if you have not heard from us by the end of February 2010, please assume your application was unsuccessful.

One-off CRI Graduate Studentships are occasionally advertised outside the main programme. This sometimes includes non-Institute funded studentships in a CRI group - see below for available projects.
