Research groups

Displastic small intestinal villi stained with WGA488 and DAPIThe CRI's research groups undertake research in four main areas:

  • Basic research into the cellular and molecular biology of cancer;
  • Research in molecular imaging, genomics, bioinformatics, and computational biology;
  • Translational research on specific cancer sites;
  • Clinical investigations including experimental medicine based clinical studies and clinical trials.

Twenty one of the CRI's research groups are core-funded by Cancer Research UK, and we also host the Fearon group who joined us in June 2011 from the University of Cambridge.  See below for a list of all research groups at the CRI.
