Research groups

The CRUK-CI's research groups undertake research in four main areas:

• Basic research into the cellular and molecular biology of cancer;
• Research in molecular imaging, genomics, bioinformatics, and computational biology;
• Translational research on specific cancer sites;
• Clinical investigations including experimental medicine based clinical studies and clinical trials.

Nineteen of the CI's research groups are core-funded by Cancer Research UK, and we also host the Fearon group who joined us in June 2011 from the University of Cambridge.  For a list of all research groups at the CI, see the left-hand column on this page.
