About us
The Cancer Research UK Cambridge Research Institute (CRI) aims to bring the scientific strengths of Cambridge to bear on practical questions of cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
The Institute focuses specifically on the practical application of high-quality basic research, forming a bridge between the world-class science of the University of Cambridge and its environment, Addenbrooke's Hospital, and other institutes and departments on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
The Institute's location, collaborative ethos and funding structure provides a unique environment that helps us to achieve our translational research goals.
The CRI's fundamental principle for research is to link the laboratory to the clinic, thus driving the development of new approaches to screening, prevention and treatment.
The CRI is led by internationally respected, award winning scientist, Prof. Sir Bruce Ponder.
The CRI produces an annual scientific report highlighting research progress in the last year.
